Education and Training
Queer Yukon provides nonjudgmental, experiential training and education workshops for individuals, service providers, businesses, organizations, and governments committed to creating inclusive and safer workplaces and community spaces for all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusivity Training & Education
We offer workshops for employers and employees, training for leadership, and training for front-line staff. If your needs extend beyond our existing workshop offerings, we can create a tailored training program that is relevant to your organization’s unique context and needs.
Our introductory-level workshop
Understanding Gender & Sexuality is a minimum 1 hour long workshop that introduces your team to the core concepts of 2SLGBTQIA+ identities and experiences. Its purpose is to increase awareness and inclusion of 2SLGBTQIA+ people and equip staff with the tools they need to be better allies.
Specialized support for Health Care Providers
Are you a healthcare professional dedicated to providing inclusive care for your trans and gender-diverse patients?
We know it can be challenging to understand all the various and rapidly changing gender-affirming care options and how best
to support your patients in their health journey.
Our Health Navigator is here to support you by:
being your partner in knowing the referral pathways for gender-affirming care and services availability ,
educating your patients on what they need to know to safely access care,
connecting your patients to peer support, and
being a resource to help you provide care that meets the needs of your 2SLGBTQIA+ clients.
