Dawson City Community Space
The Queer Yukon Dawson team offers a cozy-comfy-fun space* at the DCMF building on the corner of 3rd and Harper. During drop-in hours we serve comfort food, play games, make art and crafts, talk, play music, host information sessions, watch movies, share resources, and more - come see what all the fun is about!
It is a safer* space for 2SLGTBQIA+ community and supportive allies to gather socially and access Queer Yukon’s programs & services. Staff are on site during Drop In to assist visitors in accessing internal and external services.
* A safer space is a supportive, non-threatening environment where all participants can feel comfortable to express themselves and share experiences without fear of discrimination or reprisal. We use the word safer to acknowledge that safety is relative: not everyone feels safe under the same conditions.

Community Dinners

A selection of information, Direct Aid items, gender gear, and resources are available plus occasional guest speakers and performers.
Thanks to our partners, we host these events at either Ałät Nëhëjël (TH Hall) or Dënäkär Zho (KIAC Ballroom). Keep an eye on our social media or look out for posters around town to where we are holding our monthly dinner. If you have questions, accessibility needs, or would like to volunteer, please contact us!
